Principles
We process your personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We only collect the data required for the purposes described below. This website usesno analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we do not sell or rent your data.
Visiting the website
When you visit this website, our hosting provider's server automatically records technical information in log files: IP address, date and time of the request, page visited, referring page, browser type and operating system.
This data is used exclusively to ensure the operation, security and stability of the website (for example, to detect attacks). It is not combined with other sources. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in the proper operation of the website (Art. 31 FADP; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Fonts are hosted on our own server: no requests are sent to third-party services such as Google Fonts.
Contact form and enquiries
When you write to us via the contact form, we process the data you enter: first and last name, email address, company (optional), subject and message. We also temporarily process your IP address to protect the form against abuse and automated submissions.
Your message is sent to us by email and a confirmation copy is sent to you. This data is used solely to handle your enquiry and, where applicable, to prepare a quote or an appointment. The same applies when you contact us by email or by phone.
Legal basis: the performance of pre-contractual measures at your request and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries addressed to us (Art. 31 FADP; Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
Google reCAPTCHA
To protect the contact form against spam, we use the reCAPTCHA v3 service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) and Google LLC (United States).
reCAPTCHA is only loaded once you start filling in the form. It then analyses your interaction with the page (IP address, browser and device information, mouse movements, length of visit, any Google cookies already present) in order to distinguish a person from a bot. This information is transmitted to Google.
Data may therefore be transferred to the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework; since 15 September 2024, the Swiss Federal Council has recognized companies certified under the latter as ensuring an adequate level of data protection.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting our website against abuse (Art. 31 FADP; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you do not wish to use reCAPTCHA, write to us directly atinfo@bm-s.ch. More information:Google Privacy Policy.
Recipients and transfers
We use the following service providers, who process data on our behalf:
- Infomaniak Network SA, Geneva (Switzerland): website hosting and email. The data is stored in Switzerland.
- Google (Ireland / United States): reCAPTCHA spam protection, see above.
The links to our LinkedIn and Facebook pages are plain links: no data is transmitted to these networks unless you click on them.
Retention period
Data submitted via the form or by email is kept for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and maintain our relationship, and is then deleted, subject to statutory retention obligations (for example, ten years for business records under the Swiss Code of Obligations). Server logs are kept for a limited period by our hosting provider.
Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access and misuse. Communication with this website is encrypted (HTTPS).
